Customer: But the seventh Harry Potter book came out a few years ago. I saw HBP yesterday.
Me: That was the movie, sir. The book it was based on came out before that.
Customer: No, I was here at the midnight party for the last book. I'm certain it was number seven. HBP has to be number eight.
Me: They're numbered on the side of the book, sir.
Customer: Well, it must be a printing error then. You should send them all back to the publisher.
Me: You said your daughter wanted the book for the Harry Potter movie you just saw, correct? Why don't you just go ahead and buy her HBP? If it turns out to be the wrong one, I'd be happy to exchange it for you.
Customer: You know, I don't think I like your attitude, missy. I'd like to talk to your manager. Where are your complaint forms?
Me: *smiles sweetly* I am the manager, sir. Do you need a pen?
ETA: You guys are awesome. I haven't been responding because I still had five hours left in my shift. But sneaking into the office to read your comments on my phone made the rest of the day awesome. Thank you! XD
