It's not over!

HP Rehab Contest

Hello there again! Rachel here to bug you all once more.

Please remember that there is a graphics contest going on at hp_rehab! It's easy points for you house. What part of that isn't good? These points may be the difference between winning and losing the house cup this term. Last term, Gryffindor lost to the luverly Hufflpuffs by only two points. Every point counts, and it will help better hp_rehab. Deadline's this Friday ;)

And if you aren't a member yet, go join! It's basically a place where we fans can go to relax and just talk about basically anything Harry Potter related. It's not some huge commitment, so please go join. You'll make me happy :D

And now you can return to the debate <.< >.>

Pride & Prejudice // Darcy is Happy!

Our topic for this month:

"The position of Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor has, believe it or not, come available once again. The list of canidates and hopefuls includes many good people with great references.. plus the potions master, Snape. You have the choice- hire from within and promote him to the position that you just know he's always wanted, or.. turn him down.

This month's debate: Severus Snape- Defense Against the Dark Arts Master or Disaster?"

As for assignments, Claws and Puffs have the side of 'Disaster', aka Against.. while Slytherins and Gryffs get 'Master', or rather.. For.

Questions? Concerns? Please direct yourself to yesterday's post:

I'd like to keep this post for nothing but the actual debate.

This may not be appropriate, but...

Have you ever wondered why the houses have their animals? Like a badger for Hufflepuff and a lion for Gryffindor? I mean, we know about Salazar and his connection with snakes, but what do you suppose the other founders had in mind when they chose those animals to be the symbols of their houses? (I mean, for Hufflepuff, badgers aren't exactly very cuddly and nice...)

First, I want to thank all of you for your participation so far this weekend! This debate is turning out pretty awesome, and some people are just.. tearin' it up. Way to go, guys and gals. :) I'm glad to see that you all are getting into it!

Buuuut.. we've got a couple of things that we need to keep in mind:

1. Please please pleaaaase make sure that you are putting your name and house at the bottom of each post. I am -not- counting your comment if you don't. If you forget it, just delete the entire comment and repost it. I'm screening and counting each and every comment as it appears in my inbox, so if I get one without a name, it's deleted from my inbox.. even if seconds later I get a comment on that particular comment that only says a name and house. I know it may be annoying, but it's helping to make sure that everyone gets the correct amount of points.

2. Please also make sure that you're arguing on the right side. We've had more than one person arguing the Master instead of Disaster or vice versa. Your points were excellent, but they didn't count.

3. Prefects, please make sure that your house is reminded of today! We always have limited participation from Slytherin and Ravenclaw, and while I'm not saying that they aren't coming in because of the Prefects.. it would be nice if you guys could do me a favor and harp a bit. ;)

Other than that.. let me know if any of you have questions! Thanks!

Clubs Update

Wonderful debate, no?

Well on another note, many wonderful clubs have opened in hh_clubs. The Animagus Club seems to have had a great turn out on their applications and I bet all of y'all are looking foreward to sporting your new banners. Please do so and with pride! The Charms Club has also been open for awhile though I've heard from the leader (medens_lupus, that he's still hoping a few more people will join so that will be up and hopping. The Restricted Section seems to be very well underway too, and having a great turn out. The Potions Club is also up and running. As is the Divination Club. The Art Club even how has it's first assignment posted. :) The Dueling Club seems to have a nice start and is already planning it's first challenge. And finally, the DA application was posted today, so go join! :) I hope to see more of you running around!

As a reminded to those, you must join before you can post (me and jay approve them as fast as we can when they hit our mailboxes). And also, those who have an ID, you may now only put clubs that you are actually a member of on them. That's all for the clubs update, so once the lovely debate is over, you can spend you time filling out applications! :p
